Americai Speak

This was a respelled simplified English created by Ruby Olive Foulk and published in 1937. The name simply means "American Speech" as expressed in the language itself.
It uses a 28-letter alphabet derived from the Roman alphabet by converting the letters C, Q, and X to use as vowels, adding two additional vowel letters, and adopting the rule that small letters will not be different from the capitals except for size (which gives a sort of Cyrillic appearance). For a script alphabet, she uses her printed capitals, but has a set of cursive small letters, mostly based on the script Roman small letters.
